Sai Sakhi, a Self Help Group of Women Alumni of Sri Sathya Sai Skill Development Centre, Sikanderpur, District Gurugram, project falls under Sri Sathya Sai Village Integration Program of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation-India under the direct guidance of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba himself. Sri Sathya Sai Skill Development Centre, Sikanderpur, District Gurugram is managed by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, DLF Samithi, Gurgaon District, Delhi- NCR.
The members of the self-help group belong to underprivileged section of the society. They are not much educated, have big family obligations, are economically and financially weak, but despite of the all these adversities, they come together with intention of working hard, with dedication, to work with each other and help each other and get trained in various skills. They feel happy and vibrant with positive energy and love while working with each other. Their hopes are so high; they can beat all the adversities coming in their way.
Sai Sakhi is using their skill to create value from waste, from the end-cloth to make durable and designer collections of home furnishing items like Cushion Covers, Pillow Covers, Masks, Cloth bags. After using the products of Sai Sakhi, you will experience the love, purity and dedication of all the women. Customisation, best quality and durability are their Unique Sales Pitch (USP).
Sri Sathya Sai Skill Development Centre, Sikanderpur, District Gurugram, imparts basic training and helps them to develop their own talent and skill which will help these women to create a respectable place in the society. In this way, they are able to earn livelihood for their families economically as well and contribute their slice of share in the country’s economy.
All the sale proceeds from activities are being used for the welfare of members of Sai Sakhi.
